My favorite MGS and my favorite game. I give it a 9.8/10 because it could have done soo much more with weapons, AI, VR Training. The story, soundtrack, gameplay, cutscenes, characters and an the excellent ending are what make this game my favorite.
The greatest thing about this series is that Kojima doesn't have to make each game with the same direction in order to keep the fanbase satisfied. MGS2's storyline is much more action driven than MGS3's, also different setting. Kojima recycles the elements with fresh new ways of telling his plot and for me and alot of other people it works wonders. And after MGS3 there was MGS4 which had even less in common with each other, just proves that fans of certain series will stick around as long as you make your games with heart, and MGS4 has lots of it.
IMO it's the greatest game in history. Just beautiful.
