Hmmm, I've just read it and they seem quite off on some parts. Getting the timing right to deflect incoming attacks is NOT hard... tracks are NOT that forgiving (people who play the gorge-levels will definitely agree)... sideswiping is not a last ditch defense, it's the best offensive weapon you have :-/
Weird, seeing how raving he is about the creative side of it all and then goes on to complain that this kart racer is.... well... a kart racer :-/
