nope, Apple is not displaying an significant interest in Video Game console markets. It may seem like Apple has sights on VG, but in reality they are more expanding selling power to current users rather than build up a gaming community. iPhone, iTouch, iPad are all displaying that VG are last feature. These devices and it's VG expansion is more along the lines of having current iUsers not spend money on other devices. As it is I know people who have an iPhone + PSP/DS.
Secondly there is no significant move because Apple lacks the console tools and support. There OSX is currently the crappiest OS for games. They have taken no steps to improve there gaming options. Apple/Jobs isn't directing the future for Apple Gaming Console. We saw signs of Apple getting game developers. It ended up being some support for the portable machines.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
