Haha! It's always good to have a little faith in a games quality and influence. GoW is more popular than ever so it's worth it to be a little risky with bets. It's the closest thing to a BIG Sony Mascot in a while other than Sackboy.

I agree, it has good reviews, good price, and it will have/has good legs. and it's a mascot as you said , so it will reach 3 million :P
