I don't know if that's me being snobbish, but I really like it if there's sth. to think about in movies and if there isn't a clear black and white picture, but a chance to sympathize with everyone. I enjoyed Avatar, because I knew what to expect and I didn't try to think hard about it when watching it and that's what 5/10 means to me.
The movie isn't bad at all, but it's just very predictable, so I can understand people, that weren't immersed in the world at all, feeling like they wasted their money on sth. they already saw before. To me it wasn't a waste of money in any way.
