What are your thoughts about the Halo: Reach beta?

I'm really shocked ppl found this game forign to Handel?.... REALLY?

Gosh I must be better than I thought! Although the buttons are mashed around I found it distinctively halo!! It took me 5mins to get used to.

Here what I love about it:

•the way the Spartans feel alot more heavy, less flimsy and light

•mothiom blur and visor effects

•improved sounds when granades go off

•loadouts! Amazing? Unbalanced??? Yeah if ur crap with them! I've dabbled with all of them
a little... Yes I started off with jet pack then sprint then armour lock. I love the clocking but I'm still getting used to not just jumping in crazy styles!

•new weapons! All of witch seem to fit in well! I love the laser sniper thing... Awsome!

•level designs seem very different! Gotta say I prf the out doors one! It looks stunning and is easy enough to learn.

•new energy system! Fantastic was a little scared about this one wen I 1st read about it but again it works amazing! I live the health pack it gives the game more risk!

•beat downs and assasinations. I'm glad they have toned town the power of the punch even tho it was a sure way to win...the assasinations are cool still getting used to them. I'm glad they are harder to pull off than I thought they would be!

•no lag at all! Got a few connection errors and disconnected from live once BUT apart from that the game run at top speed!

•veto map system seems alot more free and less pre set. Love how you can change ur mind on a vote.

•split screen inc! Again this is a MUST have halo feature!

•limited jump. This takes sum getting uses to but seems to work well. It makes the split level combat much mote relevant rather than being able to acsess all areas easy.

•granade bounce and high lights help see where they are rather than just being blow un

•solid grapics and game play! Yep no mw2 or gears glitches! This game is locked Down and tight! All about skill and not cheep!

Things I don't like or need:

•Two hands.... Two guns... Neva go back bungie! Ok so I didn't use it MUCH but it shouldn't be taken out of the game... Balance it better... I'd allow only pistols to be DW with a slight decrease in acracy.

• bubble sheild, engergy depleters gone... Ok so we got armor upgrades BUT no bubble sheild. Yes it was hard to use but if u got good with it you could deflect sticky granades protect flags etc... Bring it back!!! Also the energy depleter was great for taking banshies out of the shy or stopping worthogs for a few seconds...


Overal I have to say it's kinda perfect and I've not even got in a tank yet!!! Even with the beta I feel no pull to go back to halo3 even tho I've played this game practicaly 1-3 a week since launch!
