so you expect a remake game to sell 3 mil on a console that currently has sold approx. in the mid 30 millions when the original sold 4mil and the second part sold 3.4mil on a WAYYY more successful console.
let's look at the gow fanbase..remove those who don't have a ps3, remove those who wouldn't buy the same games again. remove those who bought/will buy the trilogy, seing how europe got both around the same time, that'll def. hurt the collection's sales. remove the europeans who cared enough to import the collection (adding to the current sales #'s).
anyway, i don't see how anyone's being negative, theyre being realistic. and in fact, i saw several positive posts that it'll even hit 2 mil which i believe it can do. The most positive thing to get out of this is that all the other devs interested in possibly making collections were looking to gow to see what success it was going to have. it was a huge success, even once it hits 1mil. it means the fans are interested in these collections. what this means to me is expect announcements about ico/shadow of the colossus (
i'm so happy) and ratchet/ jak (can't wait for the day)
