I don't know about reports of problems (besides the developer change)...

Maybe it was something with the developer change then.

Maybe the stuff they showed at E3 last year was not going to be in the game or something. I remember something like that vaguely.

Do you probably mean the change to hex grid battle system, similar to HoMM ?
