I've started playing Metroid (NES) recently (on my actual NES, not VC) and am loving it. I had gotten pretty far, but already I am finding things I don't remember having last time. I already have the ice beam and screw attack...weird.
Anyways, after I grasped the basic concept of what the game wants me to do (bomb all floors, shoot all walls, make a map, collect energy as I go) it became a lot of fun.
