I can sort of understand Crysis' low sales because of its steep hardware requirements but UT3 didn't really have that problem and also had the advantage of a decent fan base. It will be interesting to see if this affects the creation of cutting edge games on PC and if it leads to even more PC games becoming cross-platform. |
I can answer ths one. As a UT player myself. My old UT clan was pretty pissed at Epic for pissing all over them. Yes, UT was still technically a PC game, but Epic has clearly been pushing more towards consoles and the press received for the PS3 version (Will it make it by Christmas? This is the PS3's Halo competition!) made most of us feel like Epic no longer suited our needs.
Virtually all of us went back to WoW or joined up in TF2. I haven't played UT III in over a month already.
