All devs like to make games they want to play and a lot of them are what some would call graphic whores, sadly for you but most of them are possible X360/PS3 games fans. Who love Mass Effect,Gears of war, God of war, Uncharted, Halo...
The best that can happen as dev is that people love your games and not how much money you made with it (their are ofcourse exceptions).
