I liked Silent Hill 3, the most.
I don't know what it is that I was missing in SH2 that everyone fell in love with, but I was more than a little let down by that game.
I got Silent Hill 1 after playing the PS1 demo. It was scary and moody but the tech was pretty weak, even for the PS1 and the story was incomprehensible.
Silent Hill 4: The Room, I didn't play. I forgot it existed until this thread, actually. I should go back and get it.
Silent Hill Homecoming: I haven't beaten yet. It's not bad at all. I need to go back and finish it.
Silent Hill Wii-Make: Is actually pretty good, so far. Not exactly scary, yet but it is very interesting. I played it with my girlfriend (didn't beat it), and then went back and started over again. A lot of things are different, this time around.
So, I have to finish Silent Hill Shattered Memories and Silent Hill Homecoming (I don't really want Origins) but for me, Silent Hill 3 is the current champ.
I agree with him dont know what the fuzz about Silent Hill 2 , maybe i just didnt fell it but to me the bes silent hill are:
Silent Hill 1 ... nothing beats the atmosphere and that kind of new atmosphere , and playing at night with lights off and loud volume scares the shit out me,
silent Hill 3.... Pretty good story with great scares.
Silent Hll:SM.....Grat use of lighting and one of the best endings in video games,
Silent hill 2......Pretty good overall but not better that the others in my opionion.
Silent hill Homecoming....Mmmmm good use of fighting and some good graphics, but the lip sync its awful.
Silent Hill The Room .... never finished just didnt feel it
