Nope. What's superior technically in Uncharted 2 compare to Gow3 ?

(Short answer : almost everything)

- Modeling (Nathan is about 30k poly)

- Shaders, textures and normal map complexity

- Lightning, shadow maps (might be the best sm i ve seen this gen), SSAO implementation,..

- IA (!), collision, particules, animation (crazy blending animation tech), inverse kinetic and so on..

- even scale (GOW3 has a relative great scale but not in the level itself), Uncharted renders a whole city in some levels with extensive use of streaming, and GOW3 is a fixed camera.

Pros for GOW3

- Art direction, or i would say type of design (more "sexy", cause it's "out of this world")

- AA rendering (MSAA, wich is a ND base code they used)

Santa Monica is a very good studio, very talented artist, strong gameplay fondation, great art realisation, etc..but technically they are not in the same league than ND (not much are close in fact..) They indeed rely on ND and in some way to Insomniac for their tech stuff.

Agreed. I played God of War 3 (got all my trophies, w00t), BEFORE i played Uncharted 2 (just bought it last week), and i'm blown away by Uncharted 2. More so than i was at GOW3, which i've beaten now 3 times (so don't tell me i haven't "played"). In my opinion, Uncharted 2 is the better looking game, technically, and visually (i prefer real world game settings, than fictional ones...if you can impress me with graphics of things i see/exist in real life...that's more amazing to me).
