I liked Silent Hill 3, the most.
I don't know what it is that I was missing in SH2 that everyone fell in love with, but I was more than a little let down by that game.
I got Silent Hill 1 after playing the PS1 demo. It was scary and moody but the tech was pretty weak, even for the PS1 and the story was incomprehensible.
Silent Hill 4: The Room, I didn't play. I forgot it existed until this thread, actually. I should go back and get it.
Silent Hill Homecoming: I haven't beaten yet. It's not bad at all. I need to go back and finish it.
Silent Hill Wii-Make: Is actually pretty good, so far. Not exactly scary, yet but it is very interesting. I played it with my girlfriend (didn't beat it), and then went back and started over again. A lot of things are different, this time around.
So, I have to finish Silent Hill Shattered Memories and Silent Hill Homecoming (I don't really want Origins) but for me, Silent Hill 3 is the current champ.
