About France ,though ,you wouldnt be an independent country if they hadnt financed your little revolution and faced with their proffesional army that was in America the British army .Or do you think some colonnes just scared the hell out of the british colonial army ?Read your hystory books ,without France help both military and economic the States would have never had a chance of getting rid of UK .

No outsider financed the American Revolution; the U.S. faced great inflation and a recession for awhile after emerging the victor.

With the military, the French, as well as the Spanish, were reluctant to aid the colonies because during those times Britain was the best naval power in the world. It wasn't until things weren't really going Britain's way that the French offered help, and even then it was mostly so they could get back their trading posts that they lost to the British in Canada.

Nonetheless, the French did help the U.S. greatly when it came to naval battle, and they helped militias better prepared for military training, as did other volunteers from other countries such as Poland (Pulaski and Kosciusko). Let's not forget that the biggest group of immigrants that time, the Irish, also volunteered to fight for U.S. independence.
