all threads saying anything about doomed consoles have no point because they reflect nothing of the future. i'd like to think of myself as a realist when it comes to things like this. ok so i've made some predictions just to get a rise out of people (and it has worked. insults and all witch are never called for) but to assume (and you know what they say about people that assume) that a console is going to be doomed because of falling sells is rediculous, but it is a good argument to make. because of threads like this it makes me re-think my what and who i support? i now support the idea that all cosoles will be succeeful.

yes. its more likely that because of natal the 360 will sale 13m in 2011, 11m in 2012 only if the 360 sells 45m by the end of this yr. its more likely ps3 sells will increase over the next two yr's (if they sell 45m by the end of this yr) from 15m to either 17 or 18m, and 20m by the end of 2012. don't criticize because i would never criticize you. just explain why you don't think it will happen. i know that (45+13+11=69m for 360 but thats not somethong im willing to post because i don't be leave it)

The PS3 stands no chance of selling 49m in 32 months.
Basically you are saying in the next 32 months
PS3 49m (average of 1.5m per month or 346k per week)

srry but your math is off. 18m for 2011 20m for 2012. the average for 24 months is 38m! i don't know about 49m for 32 months. ididn't say any thing about 32 months. what im saying is that if the PS3 sells 45m by the end of this yr. the above will happen for the combind yr's. I've ended this yr saying that the PS3 will sell 45m so start your math there. (45m for the end of this yr is in some gamer predictins on this site) 17-18m in 2011 (this is showing the 2m-3m units growth everybody thinks will happen from last yr's 13m to this yr's 15m) and 20m in 2012. anything can happen to change those numbers, but for now this is positive and thats all im tryng to be.

so what your telling me is that the ps3 will not grow by 2m every yr for the next two yr's. and your saying the Ps3 won't sell 45m by the end of this yr. so i would say (without doing any math) that your predictions are more like this.

i can also understand that your thinking is that sony nintendo and microsoft just don't have any surprises left for any of this to happen. oh by the way this is fun i havn't debated in a long time.
