What?! nobody recommended the Viva Pinata series?! preposterous. seriously, I recommend checking out this series, it's basically "The Sims" but with pinatas and an extra twist of cutesey. 
I also recommend XBLA titles such as Shadow Complex and Geometery Wars 1 and 2. There are also games that looks promising coming soon on XBLA like Ilomilo and Limbo.
And last but not least, ALAN WAKE!!!
