No one who believes in God does so because of scientific evidence. The existence of aliens, however, could be proven.

Science is only useful for proving or disproving the existence of things that would lie within our universe, such as aliens. Thus, science will never prove or disprove the existence of God, because God would exist beyond the reach of science.

In order to create the universe, God must have existed before He created it, yes? This would mean that God is not a part of our universe, but instead a separate entity altogether. Of course, the laws of physics therefore wouldn't apply to God, so He could exist wherever He wants, even in multiple places at the same time (kinda hard to wrap my mind around such a concept)... anything is possible.
To answer your question specifically, I've read several explanations as to exactly "where God exists", and the above one is generally what makes the most sense to me. It's a difficult thing for me to grasp, as you might imagine.
