This seems true of patriarchial religion aka Juedo Christian religions. It is not necasssarily true for great Eastern religions like dioism/ taoism.
And yes the religous show their percieved superiority all the time just by stating that it is absolute truth. Science also states its truth, but never claims itself as absolute truth.
