They have a deal with Activision, they weren't purchased by them. So they made a deal with everyone's least favorite company at the moment. So they are going to make multiplatform games, so what. Microsoft knew this when they made that deal with Bungie so they could become independent. I suspect that they went with Activision for this deal because that is where they got the best deal. Activision doesn't have the level of control they have with the companies they own (and mistreat or force them to milk a franchise for all its worth). Reading about it, it looks like Bungie has a lot of control in this deal. I may not like the publisher, but I do like the developer and they are in the driver's seat so I don't see what the big deal is.
