Brown is fucked... He cant even handle a female pensioner disagreeing with him. Amateur.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has been caught on microphone describing a voter he had just spoken to in Rochdale as a "bigoted woman".

Sixty five-year-old Gillian Duffy had challenged Mr Brown on a number of issues including immigration and crime.

As he got into his car, he was still wearing a broadcast microphone and was heard to say "that was a disaster".

Mr Brown later apologised after the tape was played to him as he was interviewed on BBC Radio 2.

After listening to the recording, with his head in his hands, he said: "I do apologise if I've said anything that has been hurtful."

The comments were made after the conversation with Mrs Duffy, with Mr Brown not realising that he had a Sky News microphone pinned to his shirt.

He told an aide: "That was a disaster - they should never have put me with that woman. Whose idea was that? It's just ridiculous..."

Gillian Duffy: "I want to know why I was called a bigot"
Asked what she had said, he is heard to reply: "Ugh everything! She's just a sort of bigoted woman that said she used to be Labour. I mean it's just ridiculous. I don't know why Sue brought her up towards me."

Mrs Duffy, a widow, said after being told about Mr Brown's comments: "I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet but if that's what he said I'm very upset. I'm very annoyed."

She called for an apology, saying she wanted to know why he had "come out with words like that".

She had earlier told reporters she was a lifelong Labour voter and described Mr Brown as being "very nice."

BBC News Channel chief political correspondent Laura Kuenssberg said this was "extremely embarrassing" for the Labour Party. Their tactic of putting him in contact with more "ordinary people" had "gone quite horribly wrong".

As I have ALWAYS said.  Labour isnt about tyhe working man any more... why th hell allmof these lifelong labour suppporters styill vote for them amazes me.

If you analyse many of the old Labour voters, they should actually be voting Green, BNP or some other similar national socialist party.

I hope Brown gets his arse kicked by the media for this... arrogant, elitist tosspot that he is.

the Green party arent nationalist...and on most issues they couldnt be further from the BNP...

I didn't say they were...  I'd peg them as more communist having had a quick look at their "manifesto"

The Greens and the BNP would be better served as pressure groups than political parties.  They are pretty much single policy parties.

IMO.

Mind you as least Nick Griffin and Caroiline Lucas (?) dont insult pensioners because they disagree with them.

Nick Griffin and other party members have been caught on camera saying much worse though.
