Avatar sets first-day Blu-ray sales record

- Avatar sold 557,000 in France in two days.

Overall WW sales so far (this is NA, France and Germany) are 7,707,000 however its released in more then just those three markets and still has many markets to go, these numbers are just the numbers I could see in the article.

So I guess the first week sales will be over 15 million. I don't know much about movie sales or the kind of legs they have, but I know Finding Nemo has sold more than 40 million copies. It seems possible for Avatar to beat that.
