had you read it you would realize why comparing the PS3 to the PS2 in Europe may be misleading because there is a 4 month delay between holiday periods; being that 40% to 60% of all console sales occur in the Christmas season you would expect the PS3 to outsell the PS2.
BUT, it`s ok to compare march ps2 launch sales in Japan with november launch ps3 sales ? Double standarts???

And if you still DON`T understand, WE compare SYSTEM SALES SINCE IT First availability. It`s Sony problem, that they launched PS3 in europe 4 month later. -> That`s how xbots say.

But NOW It`s NOT Sony problem, that they launched PS2 in europe 8 month later???

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
