The last 5 times I pre-ordered something at GameStop, they either messed it up, it came multiple days after the launch date due to their 'shippers' or they didn't even give me the promotional item they promised when they tried to get me to pre-order the game.
I haven't pre-ordered a game from Game Stop since New Super Mario Bros came out and I'm not going to ever again. The bottom line is, pre-ordering a game from Game Stop is the same as just saying you want a pre-opened game that comes a few days later that costs more.
