Yes. Well in that case we do not see ourselves as indians in any way. The word "aztec" is barely mention ever in our household or family. Seeing how we are a skin diverse family, there is a mix of that. First my brother who is darker than all of us (light brown but by standards compared to others, he is darker) he tends to use the phrase "brown pride" and sometimes refers to himself as a proud Aztec. But he is the only one, otherwise the rest of us with very light brown to white skin can associate better as Spaniard though we still enjoy Mexican customs. Mexico is a changing world, and really the only thing we associate with the aztecs is the blend of their food with Spanish food. But really its more like in the middle, its the blend of Aztec or even Mayan and Spain. But ask my white sisters well they are against colored people who are darker than them, like me lolz.
