I would say that the MS should keep producing games to keep the 18-30 demographic happy as i think nintendo has won casuals.
I think the war for casuals is all but lost, of course the Wii has taken the lead (due to various reasons, easy to get the most out of the console due to great similarity with the GameCube and due to lower pricing). But HDTV sales are on the uprise and a future Slimline PS3 may well win over a huge amount of casuals, a Wii next to a PS3 will not provide much games overlap. Many PS3 games (all 1st and 2nd party games and many high profile technically demanding 3rd party ones) will never be ported to the Wii and Nintendo published games will never hit the PS3.
We are still very early in this console race and the market seems to be increasing in terms of total volume.
