My PS3 has died, but it's not exactly the YLOD... *confused*

The author of the new method posted by Gilgamesh http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=107840&page=1#, says that it works to fix both YLOD and GLOD (green light of death) where everthing seems to works correctly but you have no displays on screen.
