can't wait till the re release in 3D =P

will probably sell a couple more millions after the initial sales of the regular versions

It's not in 3D?  Sheesh, even Journey to the Center of the Earth was :P

I think they are waiting to have a consumer base to sell to when home tv's that are cabable of the theater effects are more popular.

damkira - I'd like to see the numbers of how many people saw titanic compared to Avatar. Doesn't inflation (I mean.. I think movies were 5 dollars in '97 and are like 10 dollars now) and 4 dollars extra for 3d (Making the movie 14 dollars) benifit Avatar. A luxury titanic didn't have? Please correct me if the numbers aren't going off of revenue.

Well.. that's very difficult to say.. In the US/Canada, it is pretty conclusive that more people saw Titanic than Avatar (#6 and #13 on the inflation-adjusted chart IIRC) but if you look at the worldwide figures, Avatar has made 2.7 billion to Titanic's 1.8.. and you also have to remember that Avatar was not shown in 3D in all territories.
