I have tried a different TV and different cables, both haven't solved my problem. All I get is a black screen, that's it.
About the console to console transfer... As I understand it, both consoles must be in working order for it to function, since I would also need to input commands on the "old" console. Mine isn't working (since only having the fans rotating and a green light lit isn't really working) so it's a no go.
