there are 460,000 people in Arizona that break the law every day, and the police have no mechanism to stop them. They will once this law gets put into place.
Here is an example of what needs fixed. Let's say a cop stops a car for speeding. When he gets to the car, the man does not speak english, has no drivers license, no proof of insurance, and is extremely nervous. Today, it's against the law for that officer to ask if that man is in this country illegally. The best he can do is give the man a ticket for driving without a license.
That needs to change. Why should a cop not be allowed to ask someone if they are breaking the law? This law is to fix that.
Why people think cops are now going to be breaking into peoples homes and beating them to death because they are brown, is beyond me.
