Almost all the threads about PS3 3D are blessed with superior PC 3D information from the same source with similar quotes and links. It’s really boring so I ignore it. Good try to divert attention look here:

We know PC is better but I think we are taken for someone who gives a damn when reading same info over and over again.

Why bother creating this thread at all then? We all know PS3 3D is going to be inferior so there is no need to post threads about it...

I used to appreciate your posts about 3D. In terms of 3D knowledge you one of the best here. But you know what happens when you read same info in almost every PS3 related new thread. People get annoyed.

Well I can't help but be let down by the way sony implemented 3D with the PS3.

I was fine with no checkerboard support for PS3 games...but not after hearing that all they are doing is downscaling to 720p with most games, which is exactly what checkerboard does(except it looks better when you do 720p in checkerboard) The only reason to drop checkerboard support is if you are doing full 1080p.

Especially after I discovered today (and posted above) that the new samsung 3D TVs support checkerboard amongs all other stereoscopic 3D formats.

IMO its just stupid not to provide a checkerboard driver since it makes the games running in 720p look better in 3D (by combining the image in to 1080p image and fooling the brain with very clever, interlaced picture)...and if new Samsung 3D TVs are supporting it, there really is no reason asume that Sony, Panny and LG TVs won't. Not to mention that they are eliminating 4 + million customers which are using DLP projectors, DLP TV's and plasma TVs using checkerboard format.
