It's a required class for OSU's electrical engineering program is the main (ok, only) reason. It's actually microprocessor languages but most of the time was spent on assembly language before a couple weeks on C. Yes it was a complete waste of time but if I punched the professor of every class that has been a complete waste of time thus far I would have fallen afoul of the three strikes law before finishing my first year of college.
