Your profile doesn't say how old you are, but imagine you're 40 years old (If you are 40, then this activity will be trivial) you have just been fired. You have two options
1) Take out a huge loan on a venture that may or may not ever see profit
2) Take the high paying salary based job that you are offered
Now, ideally an artist would take 2 any day, but that's not always an option. If your 40 year old self had some children to support, and you know that they would like to go to college, but can't afford it on their own. Would you then, perhaps sacrifice your artisitc integirty in order to provide for your children? I know I would
