Damn straight and I'm as happy as a clam. Just got done with my first human match, though it was one of my five novice placement matches. A 2v2 where me (toss) and my partner (zerg) obliterated our opponents (toss and terran). I don't know about them, but we were both avid players of the first starcraft and so it wasn't a particularly epic match.
The novice round adds in rocks and slows down the speed (I think) to ease you in, so it took a few extra minutes before we could do anything offensive. But by the time I broke down their wall my partner and I both had our naturals up and running at full steam and I had about 8 lots, and a smattering of sentries and stalkers (since I didn't really know what either did really), and he had gone with roaches and hydras. We rolled in and neither of them had working expos. they combined forces but we mowed them down easily, and then tore through the terran base. The toss had a single carrier (this isn't BGH norush20min NEWB) and it went down fast to the hydras. Easy win, but damn did it feel good. Not in a "I just beat up a five year old" sort of feel good, but a nostalgic "aaah, that's the stuff" sort of way. Damn this game feels good.
I just need to get a few buddies to roll around with and it will be just like the good ol days when I was 14 or so staying up till five AM every night playing starcraft drinking Dr. Pepper. Good times....
