Maybe its because the most people gain nothing from these updates. Like for instance the one which updated the picture viewer. Seriously, they could have been rolled into maybe 3-4 more significant updates rather than a time waster every single month. Its not annoyance with the updates themselves but how they are implemented and their compulsary nature. Its a very good reason to not use PSN.
