A 3K difference isn't enough to say "It would to better on HD consoles"

This game was a japanese flop on the Wii with, and a much higher flop on HD consoles, because of higher development costs.

The Wii version was more profitable despite lower sales.

I think now Grasshopper (?) can see that the HD consoles are not a viable platform to have a profitable game on like No More Heroes.

At least in Japan.

But it's a port...the developement is not that much. It's surely a lot less than the Wii one.

Ports cost a lot more to make than they appear. Since all three systems operate under different hardware (Not just Wii and HD systems; all three of them), you can't just take the code from one version and apply it to another. Unless the hardware is similar, the game has to be essentially rebuilt from the ground up: Textures, controls, cutscenes, gameplay, everything. The fact that they upscaled the graphics to fit HD standards and added new character models for the very sweet mode also means more work and money. The only difference here is that you already have a final product to compare to, which is subdued in this case by the move to HD.
