And I wont' say both sides aren't doing it because they both are doing it. If anyone had actually read my post maybe they would have seen that there isn't much you can get out of this anyways. And surely extrapolating this instance to determine gamers' buying habits in Japan or demographics is well one of the most illogical things I've ever heard. As Seece stated, which may have been the best post I came across, all you can do is look at what the facts show and THAT'S IT. You can't get anything out of this because one thing doesn't mean the world. Especially for things that are relatively close to each other. I'd swear the arguments in here are so damning that if someone had shown that 2 + 2=5 they would throw out everything they knew about the actual answer. NOT EVERYTHING that comes in the way of numbers can mean anything to explain something. And sure is hell never means it can explain everything. I think the best we can get out of this is maybe the NMH brand is getting "slightly" more recognized in Japan and "potentially" due to some demographic differences in Japan between the 3 systems (although the ones people are saying it is here actually doesn't work with the numbers they are using). Anything else people are saying is either based on assumption, building a mountain out of a hill, or just damage control. |
It's nice to see someone trying to bring sense into this thread...
