Final Fantasy IX - 9.5/10. Certainly among the higher points in the series. An extremely well crafted world, it carried a great sense of adventure throughout the entire game, had some of the series' best music as well as some of its most memorable characters.
Final Fantasy X - 8-8.5/10. Despite some obvious flaws, I really, really enjoyed this game. Having been the first game I'd played the whole way through with my partner, perhaps I view it more favourably than I would otherwise. The dialogue and narrative, though terrible at times, wasn't as insufferable as some would like to point out. The music was great, I liked the sphere grid as well as the battle system. Overall, I thought it was a great RPG and a very good Final Fantasy.
