People don't care. Eventually, every game will require you to be online for their offline mode.
And then you suddenly lost internet for a week or so. You'll not be able to enjoy any of the games you paid for.
There are a lot of reasons you can lose internet.
Say, you lost your job and either pay for internet or starve.
Naturally, you'll op to lose the internet than starve to death.
You certainly can't afford entertainment such as going out to a theater or buy new games.
Then you found that all the games you've paid for previously are no longer accessible because you can't go online.
The time when you most need entertainment for distraction and it fail on you would be pretty devastating.
