What Sony needs to do is send an actual important yet simple update : HDMI fix

What's wrong with the HDMI ?

I either use my Belkin cable or my cheap one and they both work fine.

The real problem is with my Optical audio cable, but I think it could just be my surround sound.

I move my PS3 around from house to house and I normally use HDM..I but when I used a composite cables I could not seem to fix my HDMI connection any more and now I am stuck using composite cables (which I honestly do not mind but i'd be nice to use HDMI)

Although, I have never tried using component cables yet...

I dont think thats a documented problem....try holding the power area on the PS3 with the HDMI connected to "reboot" the system, it should then detect teh HDMI and ask you to re-enter the calibration based on the connection.

I had to do his taking my PS3 to a friends house who only had a 720p TV and m system was calibrated to 1080p so we didnt have a picture until we rebooted it like this.

well.. i have tried holding the button; switch cables back and forth, read ps3's manuals along with any and all other helps i can read from all many other types of forums out there...

the only one thing that i could narrow it down to was me using PS2 composite cables that one time and that was pretty much the beginning of my problems cuz ever since i used it i couldn't seem to work my HDMI cables anymore

all i know is that it sux.. but i can live with it
