Normally I don't recommend games I don't really like, but I did recommend it to my older brother who loves every FF game he has played, and his opinion of it now is very similar to mine. He wasn't really that impressed either. I've tried to see why others like it, but I see too many flaws in it, and if I did recommend it to anybody else and they don't like it, and they ask me what I liked about it that made me recommend them spending such and such hours on it, I would feel guilty, because beyond the music, I wouldn't have much to say. It's a good game for any FF fan to play, but in my opinion, nothing more.
Instead, I would recommend a game like Dragon Quest VI or Chrono Trigger, SNES rpgs I feel are vastly superior.
