“Microsoft’s entertainment division is important, but it just doesn’t really move the dial,” Ms. Egbert said.
Such a true statement. The EED used to be a small investment loss for the company, but now its really starting to thrive and is at least in the black. But it will NEVER compare to the more profitable areas of MSFT. The gaming and entertainment market is big, but it just can't compare to the PC and business market.
That being said, we're less than 2 months away from finding out what "Project Natal" is going to bring on launch, but still about 6 or 7 months away from finding out what the PUBLIC thinks with their dollars, euros and yen (and farther away from seeing first year results as projected).
Still, its interesting to see such expectations from external sources considering nothing like this has succeeded before.
