I have seen extensive menus in some videos, I would certainly find it annoying having to select things using a control stick now.
Edit... okay can't find what I was looking for, I could have been thining of a different game (I remember it as some kind of shop or similar, where you saw your character and could equip stuff to it from a grid of little icons... the grid was about 10*10, which using a pointer is easy to navigate)
