I woudnt change it, as with any electronic, chances are that if it is still working after 1-2 years it can still works for a long time. Just make sure you have 6 inches (1/2 foot / 15 CM most people dont have that) of airflow around it and vacuum it once in a while. The PS3 isnt known for recurate problems. Some are broking now but thats only normal considering how much has been sell.
