For example, a few languages in a country can be acceptable, but there are soo many in Europe that it would cause too much confusion. As well, it would be too hard to regulate all the regions, especially since all nations are used to being independent and now if they aren't French or English, but European, it can cause trouble. It took the US almost a hundred years to settle the many questions that plagued it before the revolution (ended during the Reconstruction period). |
There is a book calles the United states of Europe maybe you should read it.
I don't think it will really be one nation. You have to see it this way.
The European government = Making basic rules like euhm.. Child labour is forbidden so in every country in europe Child Labor will be forbidden (D'uh).
But then every state/country can make other rules like age of drinking is 18 etc...
