| Tuganuno said: To be honest, that's a dumb counter-argument lol http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=3354 "Wii costs no more than 137.5$ to make" Notice that the link is one year old, so it's probably a bit cheaper now. But wait, how much does it cost at the moment? http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Nintendo/dp/B0009VXBAQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1271982876&sr=8-1 OH SNAP! Sony used to lose how much per console? +/-150$? Poor Nintendo, they couldn't even give another controller in 2009. Sony had the Eye Toy before the Wii was released. The difference is that Nintendo made a good use of the Motion Controller. Just like the Third Parties - Sony made it work well. Oh wait, I have another good example... Snes and Nes had TP support... exactly how the Wii has :p

That's a stupid argument, Sony lose money on their consoles because they have other ventures to make up the lost cash it's part of their business model you think they'd release the PS3 as it is if they didn't have other ventures? They would of gone bankrupt long ago and the PS3 would of been no more, Nintendo have to make a profit as they're only in gaming, all you've proven with this post is that you know bugger all about business models and the respective companies as well as how the industry works as you also didn't factor the taxes added on to such hardware costs that they add in Japan. The eye toy is not the same concept as the Wiimote either so that's another dumb statement it's like comparing top gear and any random sitcom and saying top gear copied them because it's a TV show as well, Nintendo have been experimenting with MC long before the Eyetoy regardless with the Power Glove, Kirby Tilt and Tumble, one particular GBA game involving yoshi as well.
