SO... let me get this straight. The OP is crying because a system he doesn't even own has ruined this gen for him . WTF? If you don't even own it then just ignore it. If you are that bothered about the games for it then buy the damned thing! That's the only way you will get to play a Nintendo-owned IP this gen. How can a system you don't even own ruin a gen for you? You are basically upset because it has done so well... no?
