Well, as Pitou was thinking right before he/she/it died, "an ability that can only be achieved when condensing one's life..." so Gon did something that will give him great power but harm him.
The most epic part to me was how all the other fights with the other guards and the king took multiple chapters, and in one chapter, Gon just freaks out and destroys Pitou.

Going to highlight because the chapter is too amazing to spoil at all.

Well, as Pitou was thinking right before he/she/it died, "an ability that can only be achieved when condensing one's life..." so Gon did something that will give him great power but harm him. Then again, this is Gon, I think in the end he'll be fine.

The most epic part to me was how all the other fights with the other guards and the king took multiple chapters, and in one chapter, Gon just freaks out and destroys Pitou. But I wonder what will happen when Killua arrives? Maybe a fight? Maybe Gon will go out of control? Maybe he'll stay in that form and fight the king? It did remind me of Goku going SSJ as well, but instead of anger being the trigger, it was more despair. Not that he thought he couldn't beat Pitou though.

He really does seem sane so I would think he wouldn't fight Killua

Is Kurapika still not without his powers since beating that group (forgot there name, since I watched the anime a couple years ago)

Also what happened to that ninja dude that gave Gon a beat down in that tournament
