I haven't but that's just because I haven't played anything on it for a while. I know it gives me a little update message when I turn it on to watch a movie but I just generally ignore it.

I'm using a Slim anyways so doesn't matter too much. My other PS3 has been in a box since March something or other and hadn't been updated since mid-February probably, maybe January and don't plan to update it either. It's going to get sold come Christmas time. ^^
