Art can not be compared to another piece of art and proclaimed better.


Wouldn't it be great if there was a metacritic average for every painting that is "released".  :)

But people already do proclaim lots of art to be better...music, movies, etc., are art, and they are all rated...

They do...but true musicians, film makers and their fans know its all BS. Rarely will you see a movie maker say "My camera work owns the camera work in that movie". They tend to respect and enjoy everyones work.

But game devs say stuff like that all the time...


This could be a good debate but probably not for this thread.  I would say there is unquestionably some music that is better than other music, and some movies that are better than other movies, however, I also understand what you are saying and agree with it to a point.
